Our Learning

Teddy Bears Picnic

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough for us to have our picnic outside this year! However we took our teddies to the hall and Caroline from the kitchen provided some of us with a fantastic teddy’s picnic to enjoy. We listened to music, danced and played some games alongside teddy bear crafts all day.

Bradford City

We were very lucky to have the Bantams visit us in school for our sponsored penalty shoot out! We had a lot of fun! Please look on Tapestry for photos of your individual children taking their shots.

Representing Numbers

We have been having a lot of fun finding different ways to represent numbers 0 to 5.

Christmas Crafternoon

We invited our parents in to come and get creative with us for Christmas! We sang our favourite songs, made cards, decorated baubles, listened to Christmas music, made reindeer and fairy light art amongst much, much more! A big thank you to our families for sharing in this afternoon with us.

Christmas Fair
We had a great time designing and making our reindeer biscuits to sell at the fair. We even made our own posters to advertise what we were selling. Thank you to everyone for buying our biscuits and helping us to raise money for charity!
Monster Mash
We had a fabulous day celebrating the end of our topic! A huge thank you for all the effort made and to our parents for some fantastic baking entries.

The Bog baby
Unfortunately our woodland walk was cancelled due to the storm but we still made good use of our outdoor area! We made habitats for the Bog Baby and leaf rubbings of Bluebell woods. Keep your eyes peeled for photos of when we rearrange our woodland and pond walk…

Fine Motor Skills
We have been practising strengthening our fingers! We are hoping to get stronger at writing, cutting and drawing. We’ve used tweezers, threading, hammers and learnt how to use scissors safely.

Maths
In our first few weeks at school we have been practising our maths skills. We are learning to count, order an d recognise numbers to 10.

Outdoor learning
In our first few weeks at school we have been exploring the outdoor area! We love the bikes and construction. We’ve also been looking after the plants and planting some new bulbs for spring. The food coming out of the mud kitchen has been interesting to say the least…

Mark making & Writing
We have been practising our phonics daily and learning how to correctly form our letters. We are getting really good at writing our own names now too!
